Product Overview: Gentle Handling at High Speed
This case packer uses servo-controlled gripper heads instead of drop packing. Drop packers simply open a gate and let bottles fall into a case. That works for cans but chips glass necks and distorts lightweight PET. Our gripper heads lift rows of containers, move them horizontally on linear rails, then lower them with controlled descent into the carton. The machine cycles at 800 to 2,000 cases per hour. Changeover from single-layer to two-layer packing happens via touch screen, and the partition inserter runs automatically.

Material and Design Details That Matter
Gripper face material
Each gripper uses replaceable silicone rubber pads with FDA-grade certification. Glass requires friction without point pressure; PET needs broad contact to avoid denting. The pads are removable for cleaning and last 12–18 months under two-shift operation. Every machine ships with two extra pad sets.
Frame construction
The main structure is 6mm steel plate with electrostatic powder coating. Wall thickness matters here: thin tubing flexes during high-speed traversing, causing misalignment. Our welded frame maintains squareness within 0.5mm over the full 5-meter length. A cola bottler in Bangladesh reported zero rust after three years of daily washdowns.
Servo motion system
Three independent servo motors control lift, traverse, and gripper width. The lift servo includes a holding brake, so the head stays elevated if air pressure fails. The traverse servo uses S-curve acceleration, eliminating bottle sway at 2,000 cases per hour. Gripper pressure is digitally set: 30% for thin-walled PET, 70 for heavy glass.
Partition feeder
Two-layer packing requires a corrugated pad between layers. Our machine pulls a partition from a vertical magazine, rotates it 90 degrees, and places it precisely on the first layer. The magazine holds 50 partitions. Refill takes under one minute.
