Material, Design, and Construction Details
The condenser uses ND steel finned tubes. This material resists sulfuric acid dew-point corrosion and low-temperature corrosion. In actual projects in Uzbekistan and Indonesia, these tubes have survived over eight years without replacement, even with high-sulfur fuels.
Where the flue gas pipe meets the tube sheet, we use gap-eliminating expansion welding. This is not standard tack welding. It prevents tiny cracks from temperature swings between day and night shifts. Many unplanned shutdowns start from these small cracks – we designed our process to avoid them.
The chamber is oversized relative to typical designs, which allows fuel to burn more completely (resulting in lower CO and unburned fuel), provides a wider safe water level range to reduce the risk of dry-run damage, and maintains higher thermal efficiency even when the load changes quickly.
Instead of smooth pipes, we use threaded smoke pipes inside the boiler shell. The threads create turbulence, which breaks the boundary layer of hot gas. This pulls more heat into the water. Compared to bare pipes, our pipes transfer 1.5 to 2.1 times more heat over the same surface area. It also reduces ash buildup and air leakage.

An industrial steam boiler is a closed pressure vessel that heats water into steam using fuel (gas, oil, or dual fuel). For gypsum board or calcium silicate board lines, the steam is used in drying, curing, and forming stages. Three-pass means flue gases pass through the boiler three times before exiting, extracting more heat per cubic meter of gas.
