An industrial steam boiler is a closed pressure vessel that heats water into steam using fuel (gas, oil, or dual fuel). For gypsum board or calcium silicate board lines, the steam is used in drying, curing, and forming stages. Unlike a power plant boiler, ours is designed for stable medium pressure (typically 0.8–1.6 MPa) over long hours, with frequent small load changes as the production line speeds up or slows down. The condensing type adds an extra heat exchanger to recover latent heat from flue gas.

2. How does a condensing steam boiler actually save fuel?

A non-condensing boiler loses about 15–20% of its heat out of the stack as hot vapor (mainly water vapor from combustion of hydrogen in fuel). A condensing boiler adds a large surface area condenser at the exhaust. When the flue gas temperature drops below about 60–70°C, water vapor condenses and releases its latent heat back into the system. For every 1°C drop in exhaust temperature, efficiency rises roughly 0.02–0.03%. Dropping from 180°C to 70°C is not just 110°C difference – it recovers the phase-change energy, giving a real-world efficiency gain of 5–8% on natural gas. That means 5–8% less fuel for the same production.

3. How does your three-pass wet-back design compare to a two-pass dry-back boiler?

Three-pass means flue gases pass through the boiler three times before exiting, extracting more heat per cubic meter of gas. "Wet-back" means the reversing chamber is surrounded by water, not refractory brick. Wet-back designs run cooler externally, have less thermal stress, and do not need brick replacement every 2–3 years. Dry-back boilers often develop cracks at the tube sheet because of uneven heating. Our three-pass wet-back structure also has a fully corrugated furnace liner, which expands and contracts without cracking. Customers in Ukraine and Russia have reported no tube sheet cracks after 8+ years.
